And so it ends..

01-06-2018

Hey everyone, here's my final (I think it's the final one.. right?) update!

Before giving my 5 cents about the MOJO, I'll give a little background on what was going on the previous days.. lots of work, ridiculous amounts of work. I think our updates made it look like that the week before MOJO would be smooth sailing but in truth, our project progressed in light speed pace. I can say that I am extremely grateful for my team, we worked brilliantly together and created a game I can proudly say it's part mine.

So yeah, we went into MOJO sleep deprived, unsure of what kind of reaction our game would get and hungry (at least I was).. but it all went great.

I feel humbled by the response that we got, it exceeded any expectation that I've ever had. People seemed to be genuinely liking our work and were not shy with words (both with congratulations and much appreciated constructive criticism). We always had something to do during MOJO: hot-fixing game breaking bugs that people found, watching and helping the users playing the demo, talking to people that had questions about our project. All in all, it was an interesting and new experience :)

I feel like copying André and thanking my partners in crime.

André, you were the mastermind behind the concept, you had the initial idea and you always knew in what direction our game should head. I learned a lot of RPG Maker stuff with you and that was invaluable during the semester. Your presence was always reassuring. Also: "... sentences".

Miguel, thank you for being there! I know it was a particularly tiring semester for you but you still kept on delivering. You had a rigorous approach to work (I think André was traumatized) and did a fantastic work as a level designer.

Andreia, you were a very good surprise. I feel very thankful for having you in our group, your drawings not only fit perfectly the setting that we created, but also helped us expand it to new heights. I can not stress that you were part of us and worked passionately.

Thank you to our professor, Rui Prada, who gave us valuable criticism throughout the whole semester.

With nothing more to say, I bid my farewells.

See you on the next floor. :)

-Luis
